Dear friend, dear colleague,
 
We are proud to receive in our old faculty of Medicine experts in this new field of scar management. Scars have always been the subject of fear, repulsion, changing life of patients wearing such disgraces. More and more surgeons begin to realize the importance (social, psychological, cultural and professional) of minimizing incisions. Pathologic scars will be for the first time analysed following a scientific approach. Evaluation of volume changes on the surface of the skin, use of new biological techniques in scar treatment are innovations developed in this meeting, from where contradictions, discussions and exchanges are strongly (warmly) welcomed.
